  • Temporary, Part Time, Monday to Saturday, 5:30pm – 8:30pm: November 15th, 2022 to December 24th, 2022 (fluctuating schedule-flexibility will be required at time)

Job Description

The Christmas Kettle Drive is primarily responsible for securing and transporting Christmas Kettle Donations on a daily basis and for interacting in a pleasant way with volunteers and host locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily delivery and pick-up of kettles to/from sites, ensuring the security of donations
  • Coordinates with daytime staff to respond to daily changes in pick up plan.
  • Fosters and maintains positive working relationships with kettle sites, addressing conflicts / issues as they arise
  • Manage inventory and replenish Kettle supplies when low; provide maintenance to Kettles and supplies
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • NOTE: Not all incumbents perform all of the duties described above but perform a similar range of duties

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Possess a valid Class 5 or higher BC Driver’s License
  • A current driver’s abstract will be required
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • No prior experience required
  • Multi-tasking
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Team orientated and able to follow directions

Prior to hiring, successful candidates may be required to provide:

  • Background check consent
  • A clear vulnerable sector screening

Work Environment

  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Performance of the job requires a frequent amount of loading/unloading the vehicle
