Food Recovery Driver and Property Maintenance
- Wage: $17.00
- Permanent, Part Time: 24 hours / week (Monday to Friday, mornings)

Key Responsibilities
- To recover food donations for the Foodbank and take care of property maintenance.
- Food Recovery Program – Daily pick-up of food donations from local donors
- Building Maintenance – Responsible for regular weekly, monthly and annual maintenance of building.
- Vehicle Maintenance – Responsible for regular maintenance and care of program vehicles.
- Performs other duties as required

Qualifications & Experience
- Completion of High School (an alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable)
- The successful candidate must have 3 months prior experience, including life skills
- An understanding of and support for the Mission Statement of the Salvation Army in Canada
- Excellent customer/donor service ethics including the ability to deal with the public in a friendly manner
- A proven ability to work in a team setting as well as a willingness to take personal initiatives
- The ability to adapt to change and interruptions to a normal work routine, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid BC class “5” license with appropriate certification and proof of a clean drivers abstract
- The ability to maintain confidentiality.
- A willingness to adhere to a dress code of modesty, neatness and cleanliness

Work Environment
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Performance of the job requires a frequent amount of loading/unloading trucks, receiving/sorting out donated or purchased goods
